What I’ve Been Reading
The second Mass Effect novel follows the story of Kahlee Sanders. Introduced in Mass Effect: Revelation, she is the daughter of the Jon Grissom. She is now helping to teach bioticly-gifted children in the Ascension Project. Little does she know that Cerberus has their eye on Gillian Grayson — a very special biotic girl that has been placed in Kahlee’s care.
There is quite a bit of interactions with Quarians and The Illusive Man, so if those subjects blow your skirt up, you’ll dig on the book pretty hard. As with the other two Mass Effect novels, Ascension is written by one of the most prominent writers in BioWare’s history: Drew Karpyshyn. His science is less than stellar, but I enjoy his pacing.
