About Atheism and Politics

I have been an outed Atheist since my early teen years. Recently, I have become more vocal about my active disbelief in a god and an afterlife in any form. When I see my country continuing down the route of policy dictated by belief structures that go out of their way to ignore the truth, I become very, very sad. I have decided that I cannot, in good conscience, vote for anyone who will not unequivocally state that evolution is an accepted fact based solely in science. I will not vote for anyone who condones policy that is racist, homophobic, sexist, anti-intelectual, anti-scientific, or anti-free speech.
