One of my first big finds in my family tree is my relation to Mareen Duvall. This man, my 9th-Great Grandfather, was a huguenot that fled France due to persecution from the French crown and the Catholic church. He ended up in colonial Maryland, and he set up a very successful plantation.

Interestingly, Mareen is also the ancestor of quite a few interesting figures throughout history. These include:

Warren Buffett, Billionaire Entrepreneur is Mareen’s 6th Great Grandson
