I just listened to the 09/12/2001 episode of Loveline. Reliving the immense grief that the country felt in the aftermath of Nine Eleven is a little surreal. Seven years later, the attack on the world trade center is a distant memory. I remember that day in a lot of detail, but it seems like it happened so very long ago.

Since then, I went through high school, graduated, went through college, graduated, started a podcast, met dozens of people that have affected me, and changed fundamentally as a person. I am nothing like the me that experienced 9/11. It is as if I watched the day threw the eyes of a stranger.

What would happen if I — the current me — experienced 9/11 all over again? How would I react?
