Bluetooth 4.0 Spec Approved
MacWorld is reporting that the Bluetooth 4.0 specification has been approved by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group. This low-power standard will allow devices to communicate back and forth in bursts without having a substantial effect on battery life. Apparently, this version will continue Bluetooth 3.0′s feature of allowing high speed data transfer utilizing Wi-Fi in conjunction with traditional Bluetooth communication.
