About: Mass Effect 3’s Ending
Animated Mass Effect movie starring Guy Dudebro.
Here is a short clip from one of the songs on the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack. It is titled “I’m Sorry,” and it is composed by Cris Velasco and Sascha Dikiciyan.
Included in the collector’s edition of Mass Effect 3 was a digital download of the soundtrack. It took an IM conversation with EA support, but I can now download a copy whenever I want. To my surprise, it is distributed as 25 .wav files, a text file with authorship info, and album art in a zip-compressed folder.
I converted them all to Apple Lossless, tweaked the metadata to sooth my OCD, and then gave it a listen. The way I judge the quality of a soundtrack is how quickly it summons imagery of the game or movie when I listen to it. I was probably only thirty or forty seconds in before my brain was fully in Mass Effect mode. It’s a great soundtrack, and I’m glad I opted for the collector’s edition.
It looks like the only way to get the soundtrack is to either have a collector’s edition copy, or buy the digital deluxe version of the game at this point. I’m sure it will be available for separate purchase eventually just like the soundtrack from one and two.
